Since launching bejeweledmag.com, my dream has always been to add an e-commerce store to the site. But before I could launch, it was imperative to learn what was resonating with the magazine audience – what they were reading, what jewelry in articles made their heart skip a beat, and to know that they felt more comfortable shopping online than they had in the past. So, I’m delighted to announce that The Be-Jewelry Box is finally here and filled with an exclusive and collectible curation of authentic independent modern designers and original antique/vintage jewelry, just in time for our fifth anniversary of the magazine.
My passion is discovering new talent and uncovering treasured antique pieces. In my experience, I have seen many of you designers come into your own and witnessed your imagination soar. Each time I find it beautiful to see. You have your own language, take risks, dare to affect change, and take pieces that are familiar and turn them into something totally unexpected, yet enduringly wearable. You should be nurtured and celebrated which this site will do.
I also believe that unique antique/vintage pieces should be available to shop and that they can be purchased by the same or different customers as those who buy contemporary designers.
SO, WHY PARTNER WITH US?
You are the designers and dealers I feature in articles—those with authentic voices and original pieces, superior quality, polished yet wildly creative talent and you have an intriguing backstory. You are at the core of all that I cover for the magazine and that I covert as a jewelry enthusiast.
Therefore, I am approaching the curation of The Be-jewelry Box as if it were my personal jewelry chest. My goal is to provide a strong point of view featuring the most vibrant talent and alluring pieces.
I already have an engaged audience on the magazine site, the jewelry devotees who have grown and evolved with me over the past five years. We have learned they are also your audience.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR ALIGNED TARGETED AUDIENCE
Our readers/shoppers are women who self-purchase. They buy jewelry to wear now, not save for later—women who want to add pieces to get the most mileage out of their jewelry collections.
They own an everyday jewelry wardrobe that is as meaningful as it is beautiful.
They take risks and experiment to shake up the status quo. They select and style their collections uniquely in their own way –and if they don’t already mix up old and new, they aspire to do so. They desire pieces that are relevant for today but have staying power and will endure.
THEY WANT TO KNOW THE STORIES BEHIND THE JEWELS.
Our readers and your customers love a good tale, a yarn, the lore, and legend or the inspiration behind the pieces. They desire romance when hearing about their new ‘love’, not a sales pitch. They celebrate life’s experiences with jewelry and want to be assured that they are getting value, superior workmanship, authenticity in both antique jewelry and the works of contemporary designers.

Better Together—The New Team:
To bring you the best of both worlds, I have teamed up with Samantha Jackson, jewelry designer, collector and historian. When I met Samantha, we bonded over our love of the sentiment and meaning behind antique pieces; their past, present and future lives—and the rich tapestry of stories we heard from the new guard of designers as well as more established independent jewelers we have met.
Both of us are constantly on the hunt for that “must-have” piece. We cannot resist a rare find, a distinctive new designer. As self-purchasers, we buy our own pieces and tend to provide not-so-subtle hints when it comes to receiving gifts. We prefer a more streamlined shopping experience—one that makes it easy to search and select when looking for something specific or unearth something surprising and utterly unique. And we will share our precious finds that are never too precious to wear, your pieces—that have captured our imagination as we know they will capture our shoppers.
We hope that you will enjoy sharing in our unique vision for The Be-Jewelry Box and unwavering passion (read: obsession) for the art and soul of fine jewelry, rich in character and detail; pieces that connect to our client’s lifestyles, steal their heart and commemorate their most significant moments.
Bios:
BeJeweledmag.com was born out of Editorial Director Beth Bernstein’s passion for writing about, designing, and exploring all styles and facets of jewelry. She is a jewelry historian, an antique jewelry expert, and collector of period and modern jewels—a purveyor of all things sparkly. She has a romance going on with the legend, language, and sentiment behind the pieces. Her love for the story has inspired Beth to pen four books, with a fifth one in the works, and to spend the past twenty years as an editor and writer on the subject of jewels- old and new. She is a die-hard jewelry fan and has also held the role as a consultant for both big brands and independent jewelry designers.
A confessed jewel-aholic she can’t resist buying a modern piece from an independent designer or an antique style at a show, shop or fair-restraint is not in her vocabulary. Revered in her field for her experience and knowledge and with exuberance and sheer joy in what she does, she is has all of the right stuff to offer you this treasure chest of a magazine and shopping destination.
Samantha Jackson has loved jewelry for as long as she can remember. Her earliest memories include biannual trips to the venerable Adler’s Jewelry on Canal Street in New Orleans, where she would accompany her dad to pick out gifts for her mom. She explains “ It was my Disneyland; I could stay there for hours and never get bored”. After years on the sidelines as a jewelry collector and connoisseur, she decided to take the plunge and started her line, Heavenly Vices Fine Jewelry, known for the Victorian love tokens she lovingly modernizes and transforms from an interesting engraved coin to a covetable, timeless, wearable treasure.
